Summer Fairies
I keep them in a plastic pen
of tamper proof technology.
In white tutus and pink hosen
they dance against biology;
rearrange ecology.
They pirouette upon my palm
and sing a cheerful summer psalm
of bees and flowers wreathed in green;
their liquid voice a salving balm
invoking anti-histamine.
